A Message to the patients of Medical Wellness Associates

MWA office is open but not for direct patient care.  We anticipate re-opening for direct in-office patient care in 30 days unless the COVID Crisis is over before then.  All established patients will have phone (1-800-834-4325), email, fax (724-527-6416) and website access to vitamin and Rx refills, and diagnostic and lab services.

We are complying with the president and CDC recommendations.  If you have an upcoming appointment, you will need to reschedule your appointment for 30 days.  If things change, we will contact you and move you up in the schedule.  You should make a Telemedicine consultation with the physcians at the office in the interim.  These are available to all of our existing patients.

We have established an interim service to support new and established patients through TELEMEDICINE. This service is available by contacting the office at 1-800-834-4325 to schedule an appointment with the available providers including Emma McGowan, MD, William Fischer, DC, DABCO and Martin Gallagher, MD, DC, ABOIM.  Telemedicine consults will need to be scheduled in advance by contacting this office via phone (1-800-834-4325) or email. You may also contact Mary Belzer to schedule your appointment.  The Telemedicine consults will be done by Skype, FaceTime, and WhatsApp.  For those of you who would prefer a non-video version, it can be done by computer or direct phone call.

In addition, we have updated this website with information and Guidance for COVID-19.  Please click here to view this information. We will continue to update you frequently, so please check back with us often.

We are here for you, and we want to help.

Martin P. Gallagher, MD, DC

Vaginal Ozone Therapy

In vaginal ozone therapy, a cannula (thin tube) is used to introduce medical ozone gas into the vagina. It works because Medical Ozone has anti-bacterial , antiviral and antifungal effects on unhealthy cells associated with the problem

What conditions benefit from Vaginal Ozone?

  • Unexplained pain in or around the vagina
  • Labia pain
  • Pain with intercourse
  • Pelvic Pain
How frequent are the treatments?

Usually, 2-3 times per week until the problem abates.

Is Vaginal Ozone Therapy painful?

No.  There is no pain or pressure buildup with Ozone.  If you experience any discomfort the doctor will lower your dose.

How long does it take to perform?

Treatment time is usually 5 - 15 minutes.
