Colon Hydrotherapy

colonColon Hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation, this integrative medical procedure is based on the theory that disease is related to the phenomenon of “Autointoxication”.  It is based on an ancient, yet, ever popular naturopathic principle, “first allow the organism to discharge its’ toxins or poisons”.  Since the normal stool transit time (the time it takes for the meal that you consumed to be excreted as waste product) in primitive societies is every 12 hours, and in western or industrialized societies 72 hours, there is a relationship between toxic accumulation of undesirable chemicals, bacteria, fungi, parasites in your colon and disease.

Colon Hydrotherapy involves the introduction of discrete amounts of purified water, pursuant to physician prescription, using FDA approved colonic irrigation devices with sanitary, disposable speculums into the rectum.  The colon therapist may also treat acupressure points related to your colon on your abdomen, foot, hand and other areas to help balance your body.  The fluid is released after a short period of time and the process will be repeated several times over the course of about 45 minutes.  Most patients receive a series of treatments in conjunction with a nutritional detoxification program.

Colon Therapy is very helpful for Hiatal Hernia, Constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and, apparent, remote conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Immune Disorders, Arthritis, and many other conditions.
